A medical treatment used to treat the symptoms of having inadequate amounts of certain hormones including Estrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone. Hormone Replacement Therapy can help alleviate symptoms including hot flashes, sweats, low libido, vaginal dryness, anorgasmia (the inability to have an orgasm), weight gain, fatigue, insomnia, hair loss, aging skin and more. A more modern form of Hormone Replacement Therapy is called Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. In Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy hormones that are identical to human hormones are used rather than synthetic hormones which are similar but not identical.
